Alice Pauline Buzzard

Alice Pauline Buzzard, 86 of Portland Arch, IN died at 10:54 A. M. July 16, 2019 at the Illiana VA Health Care System, Danville. She was born May 19, 1933 north of Covington, IN the daughter of Alva Forrest and Estelle “Suzie” (Smith) Mead.

She lived most of her life in Covington and Attica rural routes, mainly in Portland Arch.

Alice served in the U S Army as a clerk, where she met and married her husband Noah Linville Buzzard on September 26, 1952. He died November 7, 2004.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra Ann (William) Rex of Portland Arch, and Diana Lynn (Bruce) Luper of Clarks Hill, IN; a sister, Bonnie Lou Wilkerson of Wingate, IN; nine Grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a son Donald Lee, infant son, and three brothers, Lawrence, Ralph, and Fred Mead preceded her in death.

Funeral services 1:00 P. M. EDT Monday July 22, 2019 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Derrick Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #210. Visitation will be 11:00 A. M. until time of services at 1:00 P. M.
