Amber Kay Brewer

Amber Kay Brewer, 82, of Jacksonville, Fl. passed away peacefully August 6, 2025.

Born November 11, 1942 in Danville, Illinois, Amber’s life was marked by love, devotion, and grace. She was a beloved wife to her late husband, Jerry Brewer, and a cherished mother. She raised her children Kevin (Elizabeth), Bradley (Jodi), and Darrin with grace, patience, and an unshakable love.

Amber had a beautiful soul — compassionate, strong, and full of love, a soul she shared with us while on Earth, and is now sharing in Heaven. She had a deep, unwavering, and loyal devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ; which gave her the strength to hold off the effects of a 60-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She touched many lives with her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength. She was the heart of our family, and her absence leaves a void that can never truly be filled.

She had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and cared for, and she always put others before herself. Her laugh, her gentle words, and her endless love will be missed deeply.

Amber found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her 7 granddaughters: Nichole (Tyson), Stephanie (Sam), Rachael (Jake), Tayler (Ryan), Hailee (Alston), Kayleigh (Chase), & Alyssa (Cale); and 8 great grandchildren: Lucy, Jocelyn, Grant, Jaylen, Grayson, Stone, Blaire, Skylar, soon to be Brooks & Camille.

A woman of strength, loyalty, and kindness. Amber was known for her loving spirit and resilience through life’s challenges. She was the proud Manager of a Hallmark store for 15+ years where her warmth and dedication brightened all her customer and employees’ lives. She enjoyed traveling, baking, camping, and spending time with her dogs & family.

All who knew and loved Amber are invited to attend and celebrate her life with us.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home August 26th from 11am (EST) until the funeral hour at 1pm and interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington, IN.
