Anna Rose Jacob

Anna Rose Jacob, 94 of Covington passed away at 5:53 a. m., Sunday February 13, 2011 at the Waters of Covington as a result of complications of Alzheimers disease.
Anna was born September 22, 1916 in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Albert R. and Rosa Hoagland Pence. She married Fred H. Jacob on March 3, 1945 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother Francis Pence and a half brother, Otto Pence.
Anna is survived by her son Martin of Covington and her daughter Roberta (Robert) Ruef of Iron Mountain, WI, grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Brooks of Austin, TX, David Brooks of Brooklyn, NY, Jennifer (Adam) Cain-Ruef of Alameda, CA, Rebecca (Ben) Weaver of Portland, OR, and Kristofer (Lisa) Ruef of Bend, OR, and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her friends and her friends on the staff at the Waters of Covington and her very special friend and puzzle partner, Marie Doolin at the Waters of Covington.
Anna was a homemaker and later a cook in the East Lynn, IL school system and later worked in food service at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, IL. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rossville, IL and attended the United Methodist Church in Covington, IN. She was a member of the Troy Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and past member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Rankin, IL.
Annas family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to her physician, Dr. Kevil Patel for the wonderful care extended to her and also a very special thank you and appreciation to the staff and management at The Waters of Covington for their care during her 5 year stay.
Funeral services will be Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 11:00 a. m. (Indiana Time) at the Covington United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Brenda Burnworth will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or the donors choice.
