Barbara D. Ramey

Barbara D. Ramey, 94, of Covington died at 11:40 P. M. Friday October 18, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born in Covington March 8, 1925 the daughter of Alta and Eva (Stambaugh) McLain.

Barb was a life resident of Covington and attended Covington Schools. She was a member of the former Maranatha Baptist Church and VFW Auxiliary.  Barb enjoyed her family, bowling and yard sales.

Barbara married Charles A. Ramey, Jr. January 10, 1953 at Crawfordsville. He died September 20, 2001.  Surviving are four children, Thomas (Gayle) Spring, William Michael Spring, Timothy Wayne Ramey, all of Covington, and Lori A. (Bruce) Carter of Veedersburg, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Her parents, six brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday October 24, 2019 at 2:00 P. M. EDT at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating.
