Charles Russell Bainbridge

August 24, 1951 — June 30, 2020

Charles Russell Bainbridge, 68, passed away Tuesday morning June 30, 2020 in Paris Illinois. Charles was born August 24, 1951 in Oregon the son of Charles Elwood and Pansy (Koen) Bainbridge. Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Pansy, his wife Sharon Bainbridge, a brother Lee Bainbridge and a sister Carol Bainbridge.
Surviving are his brother Roy Bainbridge and longtime girlfriend Val Huston of Paris Illinois, a son Charles Bainbridge (Chucky) of Covington, a niece Kandice Bainbridge, two nephews Ryan Bainbridge of Attica and Jacob Bainbridge of Covington. Great nieces Brianna Bainbridge, Felicity Bainbridge, Emily Bainbridge, Willow Ogborn, and Ivy Bainbridge. Great nephews Braden Bainbridge, Benjamin Bainbridge and Gunner Ogborn.
Charles graduated from Covington High School in 1970. Charles joined the Army in 1970 and served two tours in Vietnam as a dog handler. Charles was active duty until 1976 and did 2 more years in the National Guard.
Charles was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, shooting, fishing, musselling, old cars, old tractors, loud music, a cold beer, and a good time. You would even catch him relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee. Even at the end of his days Charles wanted to spend his time outdoors with his family, friends, and his dogs at the farm.
Charles will be having a graveside service 11:00 A. M. EDT Monday July 6, 2020 in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, IN where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Sharon.
