Clifford Kelsey Allen

April 4, 1933 — November 15, 2015

Clifford Kelsey Allen, 82, of Crawfordsville, formerly of Covington died at 4:00 A. M. Sunday November 15, 2015 at his sons home, having been ill for some time.

He was born April 4, 1933 north of Covington the son of Frank Kelsey and Frances Elizabeth (Kirkpatrick) Allen.

Kelsey was a life resident of Covington until moving to Crawfordsville two years ago. He was a 1951 graduate of Covington High School and an Army veteran serving in Korea. His employment was at Olin and Flexel for 40 years before retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a member of Covington First Church of Christ and had been attending Darlington Christian Church. He was a 50 year member and a 50 year Past Master of Fountain Lodge # 60 F. & A. M., and a member of Terre Haute Scottish Rite.

Kelsey married Patricia Mae Morton in 1957 at Covington. She died November 17, 2011. Surviving is a son Michael S. (Jan) Allen of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren, Chance M. Allen, Elijah T. Allen, Macy Gillogly, and Hannah Gillogly. His parents, a brother Fred F. Allen and a sister Peggy Dare preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 18, 2015 from 2:00 P. M. until time of services at 4:00 P. M at Shelby Funeral Home. Bill Cook will officiate, followed by Masonic services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military honors by Veedersburg American Legion Post #288 and Army National Guard. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com. Visitation
