Delores Ann Bowman

Delores Ann Bowman, 92, of Covington died at 2:30 A.M. Tuesday September 3, 2019 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born September 11, 1926 at Stringtown, IN the daughter of Kenneth and Hazel (Martin) Reed.

She was a life resident of Fountain County and was employed at Coffing Bros. Orchard for many years. Delores loved nothing more than her family, and going to yard sales.  She attended Wabash Chapel Church.

Delores married Frank “Babe” Bowman April 10, 1959 and he died March 13, 2003. Surviving is a daughter Joyce Spencer of Crawfordsville; a sister Dorothea Farrar of Fairmount, IL; seven grandchildren, Tim (Rhonda) Hall, Chad (Heather) Hall, Bryan Hall, Travis (Kris) Dockins, Tara (Jamey) Ritter, Robin (Joe) Thoma, and Cory (Samantha) Bowman, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, a special friend Donna McIntosh and several nieces and nephews.  Her parents, a son Gary Hall, a sister, and three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday September 6, 2019 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Ryan Sowers officiating. Burial in Lower Mound Cemetery.  Visitation Friday Noon until time of services.  Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com .
