In Loving Memory of Delores Angeline Elliott April 11, 1937 – June 16, 2025

The family of Delores Angeline Elliott, of Brush Creek, Tennessee, is saddened to announce her passing on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the age of 88.

Delores will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathy Gross (Stan), her son, Tom Elliott (Karyn), and her cherished grandchildren: Candice Ellis (Jason), Derek Elliott (Breana), Jackson Elliott (Brittnee), and Grant Elliott (Hannah). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and her sister, Pat Marks.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, John Elliott, her parents, Ivan and Mabel Hayden, and her siblings: Eva Mae, Lorraine, Calvin, Joyce, Bob, and David.

Delores was a longtime member of The First Church of Christ in Covington, Indiana. In her later years, she moved to Georgia at the age of 80 to be closer to her daughter and family, and later relocated with them to Tennessee.

Delores found joy in reading, gardening, and spending time with her family—who were the heart of her world.

Visitation will be held from 12pm until the funeral hour at 1pm at the funeral home Tuesday, July 1, 2025 with Joey Emrick officiating. Interment will be immediately after at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Delores’ honor to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
