Donald Lee Buzzard, 62, of Danville died at 1:40 A. M. Sunday December 21, 2014 at Illiana VA Health System. Don was born November 14, 1952 at Charleston, WV the son of Noah L. and Alice (Mead) Buzzard.
Don attended Covington Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Attica High School. He served in the Air Force from 1972 to 1974. He was a truck driver for Gangoff & Downey and retiring from Raven after 30 years of service. He was a Danville resident for four years and previously lived at Fowler, West Lafayette and Covington.
Surviving is his mother Alice Buzzard of (Portland Arch) Attica, IN; 2 sisters, Debra Ann (William) Rex of (Portland Arch) Attica, IN and Diana Lynn (Bruce A.) Luper of Clarks Hill, IN, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Don married Catherine Dian Nicewander and she preceded him in death. His father and grandparents also preceded him.
Visitation will be 11:00 A. M. EST Tuesday December 23, 2014 until time of services at 1:00 P. M. EST at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Pastor Robert Fairchild will officiate and burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery. Military honors by Curtis Redden Post #210 American Legion.
