Donald Eugene Davis, 71 of Veedersburg died at 12:54 a. m. Thursday January 10, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born January 21, 1941 at Yeddo the son of Herman Orval and Myrtle Jane (Evans) Davis.
Donald attended Rabb School School. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, riding his moped, and flea markets. Donald was employed 35 years at Fountain Foundry, retiring in 2006.
Surviving are three daughters, Patricia (Terry) Hardin of Hillsboro; Donna (Darrell) Houldridge and Saliea Davis, both of Danville, IL; 3 brothers, Ronnie Davis and Larry (Sandy) Davis, both of Veedersburg; Bill (Connie) Davis of Covington; a sister Patricia Wigley of Veedersburg; 9 grandchildren and a great grandson. His parents, a brother and 2 grandchildren preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Noon until time of services at 2:00 p. m. Monday January 14, 2013 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Pastor Robert Fairchild will officiate. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com
