Donald Dean Rudolph (Don, Donnie, or Rudy), 68, of Perrysville, IN passed away July 24, 2025. Donald was born the son of the late George and Elva Rudolph July 17, 1957, the 11th child of their 13 children. Don graduated from Eastern Greene High School in Greene County, Indiana and later from DACC with an associate degree. He married his wife, Cheryl (Lovell), 50 years ago on May 31, 1975. Don worked various jobs in the manufacturing industries and electric utility industries and finally retired in 2020. He has many friends that he kept in touch with over the years from various workplaces. He especially looked forward to his Vermillion Breakfast group when they gathered.
Don was all about family and friends. Family always came first but he would do anything for anyone. You didn’t have to be related to be treated like family. He never met a stranger and would help anyone he could. Don also enjoyed life and always had fun. Those that knew Don will remember him for his infectious humor, patience, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on those who crossed his path.
Besides spending time with his family, Don loved conversations, hugs, mowing the yard, and tinkering outside. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Beatrice Mahoney and Nancy Covey, and his brother Kenneth Rudolph.
