Dorothy "Dot" Ann Strawser

Dorothy "Dot” Ann Strawser, 93, of Covington died unexpectedly at 7:20 A. M. Tuesday November 27, 2018 at the Waters of Covington. She was born July 10, 1925 at Danville, IL the daughter of Garsa and Gertrude (Hagan) Dennis.

She was a life resident of the Covington area and a 1942 graduate of Covington High School. She was a member of Benson Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Dorothy married Robert Eugene Strawser September 12, 1948 at Benson Chapel and he died November 17, 2015. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (Bob) Wilson of Terre Haute, IN, and Suzy Strawser (Greg Green) of Covington; two granddaughters, Tina Wilson and Stacy (Adam) Griner; two sisters, Joann (Jack) Smith of Rockford, IL, and Connie (Bill) Minick of Veedersburg; four great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.  Her parents, husband, son Denny, three brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. EST Saturday December 1, 2018 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Rev. Christy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Mound Cemetery.  Visitation 11:00 A. M. to 1:00 P.
