Duane Edward Schaeffhold

Duane Edward Schaeffhold, 68, of Covington died at 7:59 A. M. Wednesday October 27, 2021 at his home.  He was born October 25, 1953 at Danville, IL the son of James Edward and Virginia May (Hoover) Schaeffhold.

He was a 1971 graduate of Schlarman High School and resided in Danville until 2006, when he moved to Covington.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus in Danville.  He was an over the road truck driver all of his life.  He had his own construction company for several years.

Duane married Rose Marie Zeigler November 16, 2007 at Covington and she survives.  Also surviving is a stepson Barry (Marsha) Hooker of Bloomington, IL; a grandson Garrett Hooker, sister-in-law, Phyllis (Roger) Bowling, sister-in-law Stacey Zeigler, mother-in-law Elsie Zeigler Naylor, several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Richard Zeigler.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Saturday October 30, 2021 at Shelby Funeral Home with Father David Rasner officiating.  Burial in Centennial Cemetery, Kingman.  Visitation 11:00 A. M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. Saturday.
