Geneva Lewsader

Geneva Lewsader, 91, died at her home in Covington Saturday July 11, 2020. Geneva was born in Fountain County, IN March 24, 1929 the daughter of Everly Cushman Orahood and Hattie Estella Allen Orahood.

She married Jesse Roy “Jack” Romine in 1950 and he died July 19, 1970. She married Russell Lewsader September 1, 1972 and he died April 17, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three small brothers, Marvin, Morrell, Maurice; two sisters, Helen Marie (Bernard) Fuss, Norma (Virgil “Bud” Warrick; a stepson Ken Lewsader (Jamie).

Geneva is survived by a son Jack Lee (Carol) Romine, Covington; a stepson Curt (Ann) Lewsader; a stepdaughter Lynn Lewsader; a sister Arlene McMasters, a brother Herschel Orahood, seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael) Rhoads, Sarah (Jeremy) Martin, Brad (Leslie) Lewsader, Nathan Lewsader, Justin (Heather) Lewsader, Robbie Saucier, Michelle Saucier, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Geneva was a longtime employee of the Fountain Trust Company and enjoyed her work and her customers, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed her family, grandkids, great grandkids, watching sports, cards, travel, reading and ice cream.

Funeral services 2:00 P. M. Friday July 17, 2020 at Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Mason Shambach officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation 12:00 P. M. to 2:00 P. M.
