Helen M Gebhart

Helen M Gebhart, 90, of Covington died at 5:38 P. M. Friday November 25, 2022 in OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, Il.  She was born July 2, 1932 at Stockland, IL, the daughter of Chester and Thelma (Scott) Delp.

Helen was a 1950 graduate of Perrysville High School.  She married Harold T. Gebhart October 31, 1953 at Covington.  They enjoyed sixty-two years together before Harold’s death April 11, 2015.  She worked at Illinois Bell Telephone five years and was a homemaker.  She loved flowers, enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, watching birds.

Surviving are two children, Karen (Robert) Maxson of Hillsdale, IN, Kurtis (Lori) Gebhart of Cayuga, IN; three sisters, Gladys Carpenter of Wallace, IN; Nina (Clarence) Rudolph of Danville, IL; Josephine Delp of Kingman, IN; two brothers, Henry Jarvis Delp of Eugene, IN, and Lonnie (Doris) Delp of Cayuga, IN; two grandchildren, Brittany Hill, Klaire Gebhart; and a great granddaughter, Aubrey Ellis.  Her parents, two sisters, and five brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services 2:00 P.M. EST Wednesday November 30, 2022 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Chaplain Kristen Browns officiating.  Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.  Visitation 12:00 P. M.
