Jack Leroy Felgenhauer, Jr.

Jack Leroy Felgenhauer, Jr., 68, of Decatur, IN. died Saturday November 17, 2018 at Adams County Hospital, Decatur. He was born December 5, 1949 at Danville, IL the son of Jack Leroy and Violet Marie (Nale) Felgenhauer.

Jack was a 1968 graduate of Ridge Farm High School, where he participated in Football and track. He was a minister for a short while before entering the Army.  He served in the Army 1969 to 1971 in Vietnam and was a prisoner of war.

Surviving are two children, Jake Mere and Dawn (Paul) Ortiz, both of Decatur, IN; mother Violet Felgenhauer of Covington; seven siblings, Randy (Mary Lou) Felgenhauer of Georgetown, IL, Kay (Mickey) Jamal of Newburg, NY, Martin (Sue) Felgenhauer of Springhill, FL, Jeff Felgenhauer of Covington, Jamie (Debbie) Felgenhauer of Corpus Christi, TX, and Marion (Tracy) Felgenhauer of Covington; Four grandchildren; three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His father and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services 1:00 P. M. EDT Monday November 26, 2018 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery with military honors by Veedersburg American Legion.  Visiitation 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.
