Jason L. Hayman, 52 of Covington, died unexpectedly Sunday January 20 at his residence. He was born May 20, 1966 at Danville, IL. to Donald and Joyce (Dillon) Hayman. He was a 1984 graduate of Covington High School and had attended Wabash College. Jason married Peggy L. Parrett on June 1, 1998 at Columbia, TN. He was employed at Thyssen-Krupp in Danville, IL. for 20 years. He was an avid sports fan with Covington High School Athletics, I.U. Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts being his favorites. Jason was a homebody who loved his family very much and also adored his animals.

He is survived by his wife; mother, Joyce (Larry) Alderson of Columbia, TN.; 4 children, son, Justin (Jackie Rosario) Hayman of Ft. Myers, FL., daughter, Kayla (Jason) Rebic of Lebanon, IN., son, Cody Craft of Lamesa, TX., daughter, Sierra (Brendan Quigley) Hayman of Lafayette, IN. Also, a brother, Robert Hayman of Covington, IN., 3 sisters: Renee (Pete) Nickel of Kingman, IN., Tracy (Rick) Hardin of Las Vegas, NV., Kendra Hendrix of Covington, IN. a grandson Austin Hayman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father, step-mother and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. EDT on Friday Jan. 25, 2019 at Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Funeral Services will be there on Saturday Jan. 26, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. EDT with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating and burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the Leukemia Society or Covington Athletic Booster Club.
