Jean G Bone

Jean Bone of Covington, loving wife and mother, passed away at age 98 on Saturday July 30, 2022 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.

Jean was born on January 14, 1924 in Covington, IN to Ray and Susie (Wright) Geiger.  She was a nurse for more than 30 years.  On, June 1, 1946 she married Norman Bone.  They raised one daughter, Laura Sue (Bone) Conner

Jean was a life resident of Covington, a 1942 graduate of Covington High School and 1945 graduate of Lakeview School of Nursing.  She was a member of First Church of Christ and Tri Kappa.  Jean was passionate about family and friends.  She spent countless hours on the phone with her daughter, Laura, every week to catch-up on the latest family news.  Jean also loved to host her closest friends at her home for a meal and a card game.  A visit to Jean’s home was not complete without learning the newest card game she and Norman had learned.  She was known for quick wit, Columbo-like conversation, and love for her family.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Susie, her husband, Norman on March 13, 2017, and her daughter, Laura Sue.  She is survived by her son-in-law, Alan Conner, her two grandchildren, Jay (Megan) Conner and Greg (Lindsay) Conner, and her three great-grandchildren, Miles, Sadie, and Zoey.  Visitation will be held 11:00 A. M. to 1:00 P. M. EDT Friday, August 5, 2022 at the First Church of Christ, 615 Fifth Street, Covington.  Funeral services at 1:00 P.
