John William Snavely

John William Snavely, 66 of the Rileysburg area, died at 5:20 P.M. Sunday February 10, 2019, in Gibson House at Union Hospital of Terre Haute, IN.

He was born February 9, 1953 at Danville, IL. to Robert and Doriene (Gouty) Snavely. John was a 1971 graduate of North Vermillion High School, he was a farmer and a lifetime resident of the Rileysburg Community. He enjoyed going for rides in his Ranger with his dog “B.J.” visiting with friends, restoring antique tractors and going to tractor pulls.

Survivors include his daughter, Charlene (Heather) Snavely-Walters, grandson Austin Walters, a sister Sigrid (Dan) Uhey, nephew Jeff Uhey, nieces Susanne (Scott) Milligan and Stephanie (Charles) Mercer. He was preceded by his Parents.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Thursday February 14, 2019. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 P.M. EDT in Shelby Funeral Home of Covington, with Mike Earlywine officiating.
