Linda Kay Garrett

Linda Kay Garrett, 63, of Covington died unexpectedly Tuesday September 18, 2018 at home. She was born in Kansas April 6, 1955 the daughter of William Leroy and Margaret Eloise (Brown) Garrett.

Linda was a resident of Covington most of her life, a 1973 graduate of Covington High School and attended University of Illinois. She was an active member of Stringtown Church of God.

Linda was employed at Peterson Puritan, CCL, and later KIK for forty-four years, retiring in January 2018, where she was a former president of the union and its secretary for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed all Covington High School sports and her cats.

Surviving is a sister Judy Ann Garrett of Lafayette and several cousins. Her parents and a brother Larry Garrett preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P. M. Sunday September 30, 2018 at Stringtown Church of God with Pastor Keith Klossner officiating.
