Covington Louise Stoup Downey, 95 of Henderson, TN, formerly of Covington and Attica died Sunday May 19, 2013 at Gallatin Health Care, Gallatin, TN. She was born July 20, 1917 at Paoli, IN the daughter of Frank and Alna Vivian (Stout) Stoup.
Louise married Raymond F. Downey December 22, 1949. Her husband, parents, three brothers, Charles, Fred and James Stoup, and a sister Alice Trimble preceded her in death.
Surviving is a daughter Karen Covington of Hendersonville, TN; a brother John Stoup of Covington; two grandchildren, John Klahn and Christy Louise Downey; and two great grandchildren, Dominic and Jackson Klahn; several nieces and nephews.
She was a retired school teacher. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p. m. Saturday May 25, 2013 in Locust Grove Cemetery. Shelby Funeral Home is assisting the family.
