Marie Doolin

Covington Marie Doolin, 89 of Covington died at 10:25 a m Monday June 27, 2011 at The Waters of Covington, having been a patient three years. She was born in Barren County, KY August 13, 1921 the daughter of the late Cleveland and Frances Bridges Tinsley.
She married Jim Doolin December 9, 1939 and he died December 9, 1985. Surviving is a daughter Frances (John) Covault of Hillsboro, and a son Jimmy N. (Kathy) Doolin of Covington, a sister Bertie Lee Strait of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren, Teresa Stinson, Tammy Carpenter, Mike Doolin, Sherry Wise, John L. Doolin, a special granddaughter Cindy Inman, 12 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter, Madi. She was also preceded in death by a sister Etta Richardson.
Marie was a homemaker. She moved to Covington in 1997 from rural Williamsport and previously lived at Fithian and Oakwood, IL. She was a member of United Baptist Church at Independence, IN.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p. m. EDT Wednesday June 29, 2011 at Shelby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p m CDT Friday July 1, 2011 at Fountain Run Funeral Home, Fountain Run, KY with Rev. Charles E Doolin officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours before services.
