Martha Ann Swaney

Martha Ann Swaney, 96, of Covington died at 9:46 A. M. Saturday March 28, 2020 at the Waters of Covington. She was born January 6, 1924 at Covington the daughter of Sherman and Ruth (Meharry) Lewsader.

Martha was a life resident of Covington and Veedersburg and a 1942 graduate of Veedersburg High School. She was a homemaker and formerly a waitress at Sunny Inn, Veedersburg; clerk at Meharry and Selby grocery stores, Covington.

Martha married Lester W. Price March 17, 1965 and he died December28, 1968. She married William “Mutt” Swaney March 30, 1975 and he died August 14, 2003.

Surviving is a daughter Fonda Selby of Dallas, TX, a grandson Jeff Price and wife Dorothy of Morehead City, NC; son-in-law Jerry McMasters of Catlin, IL; four stepchildren; a great grandson, a great granddaughter, three great-great granddaughters. Her parents, an infant daughter, four brothers, two sisters, and a stepson preceded her in death.
