Norma Jean Lawson, 78 died at 3:05 a. m. Saturday January 28, 2012 at The Waters of Covington. She was born November 18, 1933 at Gary, IN the daughter of William Washington and Ruby May (Hayden) Beasey.
Norma was employed 15 years at the Holiday Inn Restaurant in Crawfordsville before retiring. She moved from Crawfordsville to Covington in 2009. She attended Coopers Chapel Church. Norma married Donald Lawson and he is deceased.
She is survived by a sister Tressielee Noble of Covington, several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a sister Maxine Trinkle and two half-sisters preceded her in death.
Graveside services and burial will be in Coopers Chapel Cemetery at 2:00 p. m. EDT Tuesday January 31, 2012 with Paul Kent officiating. Shelby Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com
