Olive Florence Crowder

Olive Florence Crowder passed away June 26, 2011 at the age of 100 in East Lansing, Michigan. She was born December 12, 1910 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of William Wesley Cox and Anna Belle Gardner Cox. She married Russell Crowder on April 4, 1931. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1978. They raised their family in Perrysville, Indiana. Olive moved to the Lansing Michigan area for her last eleven years to be near her daughter.
Olive was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Foley and son-in-law J. Eugene Foley, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by a daughter Joanne (James) Snoddy of Haslett, Michigan, grandson Ryan (Kristen) Snoddy of Kokomo, Indiana, granddaughter Elise (Lloyd) Ramel of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and three great grandchildren, Adria and Aaron Snoddy and Clare Ramel.
Services are to be at the Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, Indiana at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 with the Reverend John Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hicks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
