Patricia Joan Jones

Patricia Joan Jones, 81, of Covington died at 8:47 P. M. Friday September 25, 2015 at I U Arnett Hospital, Lafayette having been seriously the past week. Patricia was born March 31, 1934 south of Covington the daughter of Brantly and Marjorie (Harmon) Lewis.

She was a 1952 graduate of Kingman High School and attended Purdue two years. She was a resident of the Covington area most of her life. Pat was a tax preparer with H. & R. Block two years and had her own business for thirty-seven years. Pat retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. Patricia loved to vacation in Las Vegas, NV, Hawaii, Florida and Tennessee.

Pat attended Benson Chapel United Methodist Church and formerly attended Salem United Methodist Church. She was a member of Perrysville Chapter #302 Order of Eastern Star.

Patricia married Jack Lee Jones December 5, 1964 at Covington and he died September 19, 2005. Surviving are two daughters, Melody Jo Jones of Covington, and Buffy (Kevin Brennan) Thomas of Ft. Wayne; a brother James (Ruby) Lewis of Kingman; two grandchildren, Jalac Jones and Chelsey (Ryan) Gidley; one great granddaughter, Hayden Gidley.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Benson Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Brenda Burnworth officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P. M. Monday at Benson Chapel. Memorials requested to American Heart Association with envelopes available at the church.
