Robert Edward Sloan

Robert Edward Sloan, 72, died at 6:15 P. M. Saturday July 4, 2020 at his home in Covington following an extended illness. He was born May 19, 1948 at Danville, IL the son of the late Robert Paul and Margaret (Mains) Sloan.

Robert was a 1967 graduate of North Vermillion High School. He was a retired Army veteran having served twenty years. He was a member of Cayuga American Legion and VFW Post #2395, Covington. He enjoyed fishing.

Robert  married Charlotte Reitsma March 18, 1967 at Danville, IL and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Bobbette Cantu of Covington; Marsha (George) Lord of Nacogdoches, TX; and Rebecca (Ben) Boston, Knoxville, IA; a brother Kevin Sloan, Covington, IN; Tonya (Stanley) Abernathy, Covington, IN; Darla (David) Holycross of Newport, IN; eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
