Covington Robert Dale Little Buck True, 78 died at 5:50 p. m. Friday July 4, 2014 in Covington surrounded by family.
He was born March 10, 1936 at Danville, IL the son of Audrey and Ethel (Peterson) True.
Robert resided in Danville most of his life and was a graduate of Danville High School. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and was awarded several medals. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and racing them. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Danville. He was employed at General Motors and Hyster before retiring.
Robert married Janet May Guyer March 11, 1957 at The Little Brown Church in Hollywood, CA, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sue (Doug) Dicks of Alpharetta, GA; Lori (Matthew) Meyers of Indianapolis; and Tina Miller/Tom Byrnes of Champaign, IL; 4 grandchildren, Jack Picket, Joey Evans, Samantha Miller, Sabrina Miller and 6 great grandchildren. His parents, son, brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p. m. EDT Tuesday July 8, 2014 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Rev. Ken Pavlick officiating. Burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery with military honors. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com
