Ruth Ellen Gray, 57 of Veedersburg died at 2:30 p. m. Sunday September 22, 2013 at home following an 8 year battle with cancer. She was born January 14, 1956 at Danville, IL the daughter of Jack Leroy and Violet (Nale) Felgenhauer.
She attended Ridge Farm and Covington Schools. She was a seamstress working at area garment factories. She moved from Covington to Veedersburg 38 years ago.
Ruth married Tommy Gray March 24, 1973 at Covington and he survives. Also surviving is a son Travis (Leah) Gray of Magnolia, IL; her mother Violet Felgenhauer of Covington and 7 siblings, Marion (Tracy) Flegenhauer of Covington; James (Debbie) Felgenhauer of Portland, TX; Jeff (Mary) Felgenhauer of Williamsport; Martin (Sue) Felgenhauer of Holiday FL; Kay (Mickey) Jamal of Milton, NY; Randy (Mary Lou) Felgenhauer of Georgetown, IL; Jack Leroy Felgenhauer, Jr. of Veedersburg; 2 grandchildren and 22 nieces and nephews. Her father and a sister Cynthia Lindley preceded her in death.
She requested cremation. A memorial service will be held at Shelby Funeral Home at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday September 25, 2013 with Pastor Robert Fairchild officiating.
