Ruth B. Morris, 88, of Covington passed away peacefully at 5:25 A. M. Tuesday April 7, 2015 in Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.
She was born January 18, 1927 at Brevard, NC to the late William Tell and Corrie Mae (Hogsed) Brown.
She was a graduate of Brevard High School and married Clinton Morris on February 3, 1946 at Clayton, GA. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1981.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald B. (Lea Ann) Morris of Covington, Thomas W. Morris of Lafayette, IN, and David C. (Jill) Morris of Oxford, OH; two daughters, Carolyn Annette Morris of West Lafayette, IN, and Susan E. (John) Reisner of Dayton, OH; nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, three sisters and an infant daughter Myra.
Ruth was a member of West Lebanon Chapter #162 Eastern Star. She enjoyed pretty flowers, bowling, knitting, crocheting and caring for many children and their children over the years.
Visitation will be Friday April 10, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. at Shelby Funeral Home Covington, IN. with a memorial service by the Eastern Star at 4:00 P. M. (EDT). Condolences to the family at www.shelbyfuneralhome.com.
