Sharon Rose Smith

Sharon Rose Smith, 76 of Brook Park, MN died Friday May 14, 2021 at a nursing home, Estates of Rush City in Rush City, MN.  She was born September 16, 1944 in South Bend, IN the daughter of Marion and Thelma Lucille (Rose) Wilson.

Sharon married Rick N. Mattioda September 7, 1963 and he preceded her in death August 13, 1973.  Sharon then married James Lowell Smith April 12, 1975 and he preceded her in death November 29, 2000.

Surviving are three children, Kirk Mattioda and wife Laurel of San Antonio, TX, Rose Ann "Angel" Mattioda of Indianapolis, IN, and Stacey Smith of Hampshire, IL; a brother Ronnie Wilson of Lawrence, KS; her significant other, best friend and love of her life, Roger Joseph Elm of Brook Park, MN of 17 years, two step children, Raymond Smith and wife Judy of Otisco, IN, and Yvonne Smith of Indianapolis, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Her parents, two sisters and a brother also preceded her in death.

Per her wishes she was cremated and will be interred in Lower Mound Cemetery, Covington, IN at 11:00 A. M. Thursday June 17, 2021 with Pastor Andy Harkleroad officiating.  Shelby Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com .
