Shirley Joan Cain

Shirley Joan Cain, 86, of Veedersburg, IN died at 11:08 A. M. Thursday September 9, 2021 at Bickford of Lafayette.  She was born December 9, 1934 at Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Kenneth T. and Gladys M. (Wilson) Rayburn.

She graduated from Covington High School in 1953.  She was a resident of Fountain County most of her life, and resided in Lafayette for twenty years.  Shirley had been employed at the Fountain County Court House, Veedersburg Cable Office, and Bush Reality in Lafayette.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Allen Bush of Indianapolis, Michael Wayne (Vicky) Bush of Veedersburg, and Kerry L. Bush of Newtown, IN; a brother Fred (Linda) Rayburn of Covington, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.  Her parents, son Kenneth Bush, and a great granddaughter Morgan Maudlin preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington.  Cremation will follow and private burial in Christian Union Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life is planned at a later date.  Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhoe.com .
