Terry Wayne Gurney

Terry Wayne Gurney, 69, of rural Kingman died at 9:00 A. M. Wednesday October 18, 2017 at Presence USMC. He was born January 4, 1948 at Danville, IL the son of Robert Wayne and Mary Jane (Farley) Gurney.

He grew up in Danville and was a 1964 graduate of Danville High School, moving to Kingman in 1994. He was an Army veteran in Vietnam and retired from CSX Railroad after thirty-four years.  He was a member of Veedersburg American Legion Post #288 and VFW Po9st #2395.

Terry married Margaret Depriest October 5, 1990 and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Michele (Leonard) Hoback, Hopedale, IL; Andrew Stewart, Salem, IL; Lynette (Shannon) McCain, Camden, AR; seventeen grandchildren, and a great grandson.  His parents, son and sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A. M. EDT Friday October 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 518 Fifth Street, Covington with Andy Harkleroad officiating. Burial in Danville National Cemetery.  Visitation 8:30 A. M. until time of service at 10:30 A. M.
