Violet Marie Felgenhauer

November 2, 1931 — September 15, 2019

Violet Marie Felgenhauer, 87, of Covington died at 3:35 P. M. Sunday September 15, 2019 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. She was born November 2, 1931 at Danville, IL the daughter of Samuel and Alma (Robinson) Nale.

She was a graduate of Georgetown High School and formerly attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church. They moved from Humerich, IL to Covington, fifty years ago.  She was a former Cub Scout Leader and active in the PTO.  Her employment was at General Electric and Valmont for twenty-three years.  She greatly enjoyed her family.

Violet married Jack Leroy Felgenhauer in February 1948 and he died June 13, 2005. Surviving are six children, Randy (Mary) Felgenhauer of Georgetown, IL; Kay (Mickey) Jamal of Milton, NY; Martin (Sue) Felgenhauer of Georgetown, IL; Jeff (Mary) Felgenhauer of Covington; Jamie (Debbie) Felgenhauer of Portland, TX; and Marion (Tracy) Felgenhauer of Covington; two sisters Mid (John) Craig of Chrisman, IL; Alice Bodtart of Georgetown, IL; two brothers, Phillip (Goldie) Nale  and Steve (Linda) Nale, both of Georgetown, IL; twenty-three grandchildren, Forty-nine great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.  Her parents, a son, and two daughters preceded her in death.

Visitation 5:00 to 8:00 P. M. Thursday September 19, 2019 at Shelby Funeral Home, 622 Third Street, Covington. A celebration of life service will be held at Friendship Circle Center. 1307 Pearl Street, Covington at 2:00 P. M. Friday with Rev.
