Arnold Robert Rayphole

Perrysville Arnold R. Rayphole, 93 died at 5:20 a. m. Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Digby House in Lafayette. He was a Covington resident most of his life, the last few years lived at Perrysville and moved to Lafayette in March. He was born October 13, 1916 at Yeddo the son of the late Robert and Opal Bonebrake Rayphole.
He graduated from Kingman High School and was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Arnold was a member of Stringtown Church of God, Past Master of Yeddo Lodge #636 F & A M, and local 841 Operating Engineers. He operated heavy equipment at Morgan Coal Mine, Indiana State Highway, Interstate Sand & Gravel and construction for 30 years.
Arnold married Phyllis E. Shumaker October 5, 1935 and she died May 10, 1961. He married Lola L. Prather December 3, 1961 at Danville. She died June 16, 2005. Surviving is a son Michael (Sue) Rayphole of Cypress, TX; 2 grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Rayphole of Houston, TX, Jennifer Kirkpatrick of Corpus Christi, TX; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan and Nathan Rayphole, Sara and Abby Kirkpatrick.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday September 11, 2010 at Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Klossner officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p. m. Friday with Masonic services at 6:45 p. m.
