Barbara Ann Rowe

Barbara Ann Rowe, 80 of North Port, Florida died at 12:40 a. m. Thursday January 6, 2011 at Consulate Health Care, Port Charlotte, FL following an extended illness. She was born December 22, 1930 in Warren County the daughter of Herman and Delta (Roderick) Taylor.
She attended West Lebanon Schools. She resided in Covington for many years and moved to Florida in 1980. She was manager of the former Wisdom 5 & 10c Store in Covington and employed at Covington Manufacturing. She and Wayne owned Big O Drive Through Beverage in Okeechobee for many years and she then worked at Publix Floral Dept. Barbara was a member of First Church of Christ, Covington.
Barbara married Wayne M. Rowe October 19, 1947 at Urbana, IL and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Harold (Kathy) Rowe of North Port, FL and Dennis Lee (Sue) Rowe of Ft. Pierce, FL; 3 granddaughters, Tersia (Ron) Preast, Clydia (Frank) Wilson, and Heidi (Lee) Stone; 3 brothers, Vernon (Dora Mae) Taylor, Jack (Janet) Taylor, both of Williamsport, Joe (Susie) Taylor of Covington; 7 sisters, Alice Hutchison, Edith ( Don) Davis, Carolyn (Bill) Hale, all of Covington, Dorothy (Gene) Hougland of Veedersburg, Clara (Ronald) Crawford of Delphi, Lois Hensley of Williamsport, and Linda (Ralph) Burmeister of Danville, IL. Her parents, a brother Calvin Taylor and a sister Dora Lou preceded her in death.
