Perrysville Roy Lee Merryman, 66 died suddenly at 11:46 a. m. Friday October 1, 2010. He was born east of Cates the son of LeRoy S. and Anna L. (Crowder) Merryman.
He was a 1962 graduate of Kingman High School. Roy Lee married Mary Ann Salts November 24, 1965 at his parents home and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael and Mark (Debra), both of Perrysville, 4 grandchildren, Shelley, Ashley, Raelee, and Breanna, a brother Sam (Vivian) Merryman of Covington, a sister Jane (Robert) Bowles of Veedersburg, mother-in-law Helen Salts of West Lebanon, nieces and nephews, Randy (Garla) Allen, Brody & Dalton Allen, Tammy (Scott) Estes, Andrea & Erica Estes, Jennifer Wright, Amber Hillery, Carol Jane Sellers, Anna Marie ward, Several cousins.
Roy Lee was employed at Coca Cola, Royal Crown and Anchor Hocking in Danville and Futurex in Bloomingdale, retiring in 2000 due to ill health. He was a resident of Perrysville since 1968.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a. m. Thursday October 7, 2010 at Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Pippin officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p. m. Wednesday.
